About these instructions

This reader standardises presentation, not the entire procedure library. The original instructions, version labels and warnings are retained. Some topics describe the local Windows hub or earlier interface labels. They must not be read as proof that all desktop setup, imports or recovery work is available in the hosted browser.

The full wording, hosted/local scope, native Help and PDF review remains on the development list. Use only company-approved operational procedures; viewing Help does not approve a checklist, release equipment or verify work.

Assign and complete general work

One page to assign the work; separate results and review

Create a task directly

Open Tasks → New task. Choose General work, Maintenance activity or Certificate check in the same form. Enter a clear title and instructions, select the people who will perform it, and use Create task. No four-page wizard, ordinary reason or routine review checkbox is required. The click is the explicit assignment action; opening or retaining a draft does not create a record.

Priority starts Normal. Due date/time is optional and explicitly UTC; none is inferred. A project administrator or current designated department head with Tasks management must create the assignment. The responsible department does not automatically assign every member. Inventory verification remains a separate fixed-scope workflow, available under Inventory verification instead; switching deliberately keeps the local Task draft first.

Choose people without losing hidden selections

Find people filters by name, login or account ID. Searching does not uncheck people outside the results. The count describes the complete selection separately from visible rows. A saved draft may contain an unavailable assignee or department; it is retained and labelled, not silently dropped. Current eligibility is checked again when saving. Remove an unavailable person deliberately or ask an administrator to correct access.

Only assigned people, designated heads of the responsible department and administrators may read the Task. General department membership alone grants no review authority. A shared guest remains a shared account, not individual visitor attribution.

Optional checklist and exact linked record

Expand Checklist to build task-owned steps or use a compatible published template. None is selected automatically. Template copying still requires its specific sharing consent; approval, photo or conditional rules are not stripped from incompatible templates. The saved task owns a fixed copy, not a live replacement for the original Checklist.

Expand Linked record to search permitted asset, maintenance or certificate records. Select an exact saved identity and version. Search and refresh retain your choice outside the result list. A changed source is not silently rebased: explicitly use its current saved version or keep the old reference, which the hub may reject. A failed list refresh blocks a new create until retried or the link is deliberately removed.

Linking does not grant source access or copy its readings, files, approvals or dates. Completing this Task does not complete a maintenance order, renew a certificate, verify stock, release equipment or authorise an operation.

Record results without repeated explanations

Assignees use Work performed & findings to save their notes. Task checklist results also save directly. Updating your own checklist result during permitted working states needs no generic reason; your account, time, version and before/after result are recorded automatically. A genuine old change note in a resumed form is preserved.

Issue and Not applicable still need an informative step note. Replacing another person's result, a result with unknown authorship, or resetting a saved result to Not recorded requires a short explanation. Required readings, numeric limits and retained result history remain. A repeat with identical status, readings and note is the existing no-op, not another version.

Submit and review separately

Saving findings or a checklist result does not submit or complete the Task. The assigned worker submits; authorised reviewers complete or return it under the existing rules. Exceptions need explicit review. Cancellation, reopening, reassignment and manual postponement keep their distinct controls and explanations. Pausing retains results and due date; a review date is not an automatic reminder.

The Fault report → corrective Task flow retains its separate audience review because copied wording can cross access boundaries. Private source notes are never copied automatically. Its existing four-step review is not replaced by the ordinary Task form.

Keep a draft or retry a failed save

Keep draft & close retains this device's existing local form. Reopening preserves selected people, the exact linked version and checklist choices. Old ordinary four-step drafts use the new one-page form; Fault-corrective drafts retain their reviewed flow. A successful creation opens the saved Task only after local-draft cleanup finishes.

A lost response may mean the Task was created: retry the unchanged request rather than starting again. The existing operation ID prevents a duplicate. Conflicts retain your wording rather than overwrite newer saved work. A changed account, route or replacement form prevents delayed preparation from covering it. Preserve unsent work and do not clear browser storage. These checks do not establish real-device durable-storage acceptance. The native interface and master PDF are not rebuilt by this update.

Choose the kind of task first

Tasks → New task and the Home shortcut open the card-style choice panel: General task, Verify inventory, Maintenance activity and Certificate check. Select a card to open the appropriate form. The three ordinary task forms retain their one-page, reason-free routine creation. Choosing a type does not create a task.

Verify inventory opens the existing private inventory-verification workflow, with a chosen inventory, assignees, items/boxes/sections and verification scope. It is not a generic task with a different label. Inventory access and task-management authority still apply. Missing permissions are explained on the disabled card, rather than silently removing the choice.
