Scan labels during stock verification

Find the scoped item, then inspect and save

1. Open the intended Stock verification or private verification task first. Choose the camera-shaped Scan QR button.
2. Choose Start camera, allow access on your approved hub and point the rear camera at one Wavelink label. Where supported, Read a photo of the QR label can decode a clear picture instead.
3. The scanner stops when it reads a code and checks the current project, permissions and verification scope. It opens that item’s check without saving a result. A previously verified item shows its existing values.
4. Inspect the equipment. Record Found / verified, Missing or Discrepancy, counted quantity where required, and notes. Save deliberately. A box is checked separately from its contents.
5. Close the scanner or use Stop camera when finished. Camera capture stops when the scanner closes, the page is hidden or the workspace is left. Frames are processed locally and are not uploaded or stored as task evidence.

When the in-app camera is unavailable

Live camera scanning needs trusted HTTPS, permission to use the camera and a browser that provides a QR detector. The program checks these capabilities; not every browser or device supplies them. QR-photo decoding also needs that detector. There is no cloud decoding service or automatic browser-protection bypass.

On ordinary HTTP, or an unsupported browser, use your phone’s normal camera or approved QR reader to copy the label link. Return to Scan QR and paste it into QR link or complete asset ID, then choose Open verification item. A USB/Bluetooth scanner can type there too. On the PC, use Scan / enter QR… for the same lookup. Do not clear website data or switch the hub address with unsent work.

A label is a locator, not permission

The code must identify this project and an item in this verification. Other-project and out-of-scope scans show an explanation without opening unrelated inventory. The original scope stays unchanged. Submitted/closed or read-only work cannot be edited through the scanner.

After a successful lookup, Found elsewhere? Move & verify… is available only to users allowed to move inventory. Enter the destination and reason, review box contents affected, then explicitly save. Scanning alone never moves equipment, records a result or changes quantity.
