Find your workspace

Keep the sidebar

Use Overview, Daily work, Equipment & logistics, Safety & quality, Documents and Administration. Native Admin also separates Libraries, Team & project and Setup & support. Existing labels and routes retain their permissions. On phones, Menu opens a drawer; Hide sidebar / Show sidebar remain explicit on desktop.

Find a workspace or activity

Type a workspace name or activity such as Tasks, Inventory, HSE, shift, verify stock or sign toolbox talk into the sidebar finder. It searches the public destination vocabulary, not operational records, private notes or file contents. All query words must match. Clear restores the list. Enter focuses the first visible matching link; it does not open a workspace or submit work. Escape clears the query; on a phone another Escape retains the existing drawer behaviour.

Filtering preserves the original link and its permission-controlled visibility. A hidden destination never becomes available because a search term matches. The same vocabulary is used by Home, with an additional group filter.

Start from Home without losing capabilities

Home shows all available destinations grouped into Daily work, Equipment & logistics, Safety & quality, Documents and Administration. Each card explains the destination and has a clear Open action. Appropriate cards also offer New task, Verify inventory, New checklist / dive, New work order, Add certificate or New toolbox talk. Creation opens the established form; no data is created merely by browsing.

New task retains its four type-choice cards, including real inventory verification. Open Handovers retains visible Create handover and all its types. Original files opens the same permission-checked library. View-only accounts keep Open while unavailable creation is explained. Fleet and administration shortcuts retain their existing restricted authority.

Unsent/conflict notices remain above navigation and Manage unsaved work stays in the heading. Saved work overview keeps its original permissions and category scopes; workspace search does not change it. Home filters are temporary for the active authorised session. The native Admin Home is not rebuilt by this browser update.

Fleet and expanded logs remain inside

Fleet & vessels still opens in the embedded workspace with current session/context. Save or close an open Fleet form before leaving; navigation cannot silently discard it. Expand view stays in the current log; Return to normal or Escape restores the main layout when no entry dialog is open. A separate browser log window is optional.

Account and saved work

Account retains account/help actions. Connection & saves distinguishes confirmed, local and uncertain work. Native Admin Open browser workspace deliberately opens the browser; it does not transfer native credentials. No data, schema, network or save rules are changed by appearance. Some open forms retain text only in memory: reload/close may lose it. Preserve unfinished work before updating.

Ongoing refinement

This release improves navigation, Home and common control hierarchy. It does not make native Tk and the browser identical, add global record search/favourites, or finish every legacy form/table. Real Windows, phones, keyboard and accessibility acceptance remains important.

Original files directly in the sidebar

Under Documents, Original files opens the saved folder and source-revision library. The same library remains under Account. Its entry is hidden without Original documents viewing permission or for a vessel-only account; uploads and folder organisation require a named administrator. Navigation does not grant access or change stored files.

Active in this project

The small activity control beside the project name shows accounts whose visible browser workspaces contacted this hub within the last 90 seconds. Open it to view permitted project names; Close, Escape or clicking away hides the list. Foreground workspaces report about every 30 seconds. Counts include you, combine multiple tabs of the same account, and treat a shared guest as one account. Hidden or offline tabs stop reporting; a recently closed tab can remain for up to 90 seconds.

This is a recent-connection indicator, not a crew roster, attendance, read receipt, shift assignment or proof of productive work. It records no operational text, page name, exact location or persistent activity history. A server restart clears the short-lived in-memory list. Only signed-in project accounts participate; anonymous, legacy and vessel-only sessions are excluded. Standalone native windows and standalone Fleet pages do not send these heartbeats.

A lost connection shows Activity unavailable, not zero staff. Presence never saves notes, publishes a handover or clears browser drafts; ordinary work continues. In-tab notes still need Save & close. The activity requests use their own short-lived connection rather than the operational save queue.
