About these instructions

This reader standardises presentation, not the entire procedure library. The original instructions, version labels and warnings are retained. Some topics describe the local Windows hub or earlier interface labels. They must not be read as proof that all desktop setup, imports or recovery work is available in the hosted browser.

The full wording, hosted/local scope, native Help and PDF review remains on the development list. Use only company-approved operational procedures; viewing Help does not approve a checklist, release equipment or verify work.

User instructions

Organise and delete types

Keep the library clear without losing job records

Open Checklist Editor → Library actions → Manage types…. Search by name or system and use the filter to view Available & drafts, Archived, Deleted or All types. The Records column shows how many records use each type, including deleted records.

ActionResult
Archive typeHides a type from new-record selection. The draft and revision history remain available under Archived.
Delete typeMoves a type to Deleted and removes it from normal library selection. Existing job records continue unchanged.
Restore deletedReturns the type to the available library. An unpublished draft still needs to be published.
Delete permanentlyRemoves any reusable type, including the original, with its saved draft and revisions. Existing job records are kept.

Delete an unwanted type

  1. Select the type in Manage types, or select it in the editor and choose Delete type….
  2. Review the name and record count. Enter the checklist name exactly as displayed and give a reason.
  3. Choose Delete type. It is removed from normal selection. To undo this, open the Deleted filter and select Restore deleted.

Permanently remove a checklist type

In Manage types, select the original or a custom type and choose Delete permanently…. There is no need to archive or delete it first. Review the record count, type the name exactly and enter a reason. Confirm only when the reusable template is no longer needed.

Archived types are hidden from the editor selector by default. Use Show archived to find them. A library may be empty: use New / Generate or Example setups to start again. Existing jobs remain under Records.
