Expand a log and keep another window open

Keep logging visible without an unnecessary second sign-in.

Expand the current browser view

Use Expand view beside the logbook title. It hides surrounding navigation without loading another page or creating another session. The selected logbook, section and filters remain. Choose Return to normal or press Escape when no entry dialog is open. Opening another workspace exits focus mode.

An optional separate browser window

Choose Open separate window only when a second view is useful. Wavelink passes a one-use, short-lived session handoff into that new same-origin window, then the hub validates it. A valid account normally continues without another login. No password or token is placed in its URL, and the opener is detached. Popup blocking, expiry, changed hub/account or an invalid handoff can require sign-in.

Keep separate editing workspaces

A separate window retains its own guarded local draft store. It does not merge or share unsent forms with the main writer. Opening the identical saved window twice still has one-active-writer protection. Another account cannot claim earlier account-scoped drafts. An expired or revoked session is not revived; every saved operation retains its ordinary server-side permission checks.

Reopen and recover deliberately

Use Account > Separate log windows / drafts to reopen saved window records with a freshly validated current session. Keep the records and browser storage until each window's work is saved or exported. A normal project backup does not include unsent browser drafts. Review uncertain results before retrying; navigation never submits an entry automatically.

A separate Windows Admin window

Desktop Logs > Open separate window uses the same signed-in administrator in its existing native workflow. Resize or maximise that window separately. Each entry still needs a deliberate Save; closing main Admin closes its native log windows.

Connection and recorded meaning

These are views of the same project, not a second hub or synchronised database. Phones may open another tab rather than a floating window. Activity retains LOG ON, LOG OFF and New day; Line Status retains Completed, Partial and Not Attempted. Colours, entries and log views do not authorise equipment operation.
