Find and move inventory
Direct contents, filtered results and explicit movement
Search includes nested equipment
Search the current inventory or box by name, model, reference, serial, location, containing box or available source information. Any active location/department/source/archive filter searches ALL levels within this scope. Matching children appear directly; unmatched parent rows are not added to the selection. The summary states when filtered results include nested levels.
Choose the working view
Folder view is compact. All contents is an explicit flat view of every matching level. Hidden selections are removed when the visible set changes. Clear filters restores unfiltered results in the current scope. Opening a new box clears the old filters so its contents are not accidentally hidden; Back can restore the earlier view.
Keep the table focused
Default desktop columns show item/box, reference, location, custody and quantity. All columns exposes model, department, source/review information as applicable. The table owns its horizontal scroll. Phones use labelled record cards. Unknown quantities remain Unknown; box contents counts are inventory RECORDS, not units or confirmation that those records were physically checked.
Move, pack and unpack deliberately
Select the intended records, then choose Move location, Put in box or Take out. On a small browser screen these actions sit under Move & pack. The existing form reviews the destination and full scope, requires a reason/confirmation, and rechecks saved versions and hierarchy. Opening that form does not submit it. Use the existing quantity-split workflow before shipping only part of a bulk row.
Keep setup out of everyday work
Native Inventory tools holds the builder, import/export, locations, QR labels, low-stock tools, stock verification and archive controls. Item actions applies to one selected record. Browser More tools includes stock verification, labels, exports, manifests and Receiving & placement. On phones, selecting or expanding a menu never automatically saves.
1.34.17 — focused asset details
Asset details shows one selected section at a time. Overview holds identity and profile/QR controls; Documents & photos holds certificate/photo actions; Maintenance holds linked-order creation. Native heading, section navigation and recorded custody stay above the scrolling details. Permissions and archive restrictions still apply.
For a box, Contents searches direct children by name or serial, not all nested equipment. Native Open selected child reuses the same asset window and Back to previous asset restores the earlier section/search. Filtering/refresh clears selection. Native archive inclusion is explicit; browser archived children stay in a labelled collapsed group. Opening or searching does not move, verify or receive equipment.
Choose Load identification photos in either interface. Browser loading, history and refresh remain bound to the current render/account/session. Same-asset/same-session browser refresh preserves the section/query; another asset or session starts on Overview. Native navigation, refresh and close require any open child form to be finished or deliberately cancelled first.
These are temporary view choices, not a durable offline queue. Existing profile/photo/certificate/maintenance forms and authoritative services are unchanged. Native detail and linked record editors are not all embedded. See user-guide pages 141–144. Preserve all unsent work, back up and update in place; do not uninstall first or clear storage.
Routine item details without extra explanations
Editing normal inventory item details in the browser no longer requires a typed reason. The saved account, time and before/after values remain in History. Required fields, version conflicts, movement permissions and box/custody restrictions still apply. This does not remove the separate reason/review rules for moving, archiving or overriding verification evidence.
